Those little hands

Those little hands
Should merry and play around
But don’t know why its making utensils sound
Cleaning the plates,bowls and spoons
Cute smile on a face what a boon
Fold those clothes and broom the floor
Is it what 7 year old have to do
Staring at cornflakes and fruits
Hungry eyes tempting to unmute
Still those small hands carrying big bags
Oh!there is so much to sell
Don’t know even the meaning of life
But they shout spoons  free with knife
Those little legs wants to play
Wants to jump hop and clay!
But this is not what their life meant to be
Stop Child labor and let the little minds free

Perception of beauty in phases of life

Life is beautiful existence in its kind and each phase says that this is the journey the lord had made for us ,this is temporary and we have to live it to the fullest.and you have different perception in different phases

Your perception when you were in your childhood days –you never knew what is life and what is its meaning yet you lived so cheerfully .may be not knowing the meaning have its own perception, the perception to smile and laugh,a perception not to fear, perception of not knowing that the world is not a toy story.the best part is we did whatever we want, unknowingly or knowingly.

Your perception as enthusiastic Adolescence, now your eyes are widely open ,but still you are living life with the hunger of experiences, that new crush ,that old brush, the bike you drive and college life. You thought there is nothing you cant do and there is nothing you fear .No responsibility of even your own life, driving fast and living life.

Then comes another beautiful perception of life, the stages comes ahead responsibility-clad Adulthood comes to you.You no more throw  your clothes in your closet and you know life is precious for you.,there is need to sustain and life to live…but you are eager for everything you believe.Still you laugh it out aloud so that there is shining in every cloud .

Now its time for using wrinkled free creams, don’t know whether it will make any miracle on the age .but you are back to the tantrums of childhood again very clumsy light and soft.

Withing the realms of imagination, the colourful rainbow went from beautiful to inspiring, and from inspiring to soothing. And as the days grew grim, it turned beautiful again, life is vicious circle

While I can’t have you, I long for you

While I can’t have you, I long for you. I am the kind of person who would miss a train or a plane to meet you for coffee. I’d take a taxi across town to see you for ten minutes. I’d wait outside all night if I thought you would open the door in the morning. If you call me and say ‘Will you…’ my answer is ‘Yes’, before your sentence is out. I spin worlds where we could be together. I dream you. For me, imagination and desire are very close.

Thats me in the crowd

I remember that very day when I realised that this is the world where people live in different world .They are good, they are bad, they are beautiful ,they are ugly, they selfish, they are dumb, they stylish, they are sluggish, they are flattered, they are thin, they are tall, they fat ,they are bad, they are crazy, they are cunning, they are cruel, they are religious, they are atheist, they are rich, they are poor, they are high class, they are second class, they are science ,they are commerce ,they are artificial, they are real, they are sweet, they are sober, they are aimless, they are mere!!

Lovely adjectives but this is all what is the world made up of and care about .My world was not made up of adjectives ,but it was all about living .Running behind these adjectives which is made by the world itself people forgot to live the life which is made by Allah. If we  start realising it sooner it will be better for us .

Down the Road-Book review

Title: Down The Road
Edited by: Ahmed Faiyaz and Rohini Kejriwal
Publisher: Grey Oak Westland
Published: 2011
Pages: 216
Price: Rs. 195
Genre: Campus Fiction- Short Stories

As the cover of the book says, it has twenty eight stories written by sixteen authors. Out of the twenty-eight, eight are written by Ahmed Faiyaz, one of the editors for the book, two each by Ira Trivedi, Paritosh Uttam, Rohini Kejriwal, Sneh Thakur and Malathi Jaikumar, and one each by Aashish Mehrotra, Naman Saraiya, Sahil Khan, Vibha Batra, Ranjani Iyer, Prateek Gupta, Nikhil Rajagopalan, Chinmayi Bali, Abhijit Bhaduri and Kunal Dhabalia.

Down the road i went when i read the book,i thought will read the book in the bus and will complete reading it , in 1 week, but when I started reading the first story,I got engrossed in the book, As it  will take you to the joyride of memories you have always been or wished you have been there or wished you have never been there ,at times some stories will remind you of your classmate or your friend or your neighbor or your teacher or unknown yourself too.It will click F5 button on your mind and you will stroll along with it .Since there are stories of different people mapping to different places ,situations you will at times go . Among the stories, while some are good, some are not-so-good too. There are short stories and there are long ones too.

My personal favourites include:

*The Music Room by Ira Trivedi – the emotions portrayed touch your heart.

*That’s It? by Sahil Khan – the thing about his stories is that they might not be as unique overall – but the endings – boy! Does he nail it or what! It’s usually the last para or the last line of his story that makes it shine. And leaves behind a smile.

*Call me biased but I do like Paritosh Uttam’s stories. Sororicide and Between Friends both of them are well crafted.

*An Accidental Start by Kunal Dhabalia has a wonderful concept and it instills the idea of reading and writing in us.

*Just A Moment by Nikhil Rajagopalan is very realistic.

*Remember Me? by Ahmed Faiyaz again is a good one.

*Bellow Yellow by Chinmayi Bali is very touching.

Satan will say to those who choose to follow him

When you are angry, Satan is with you so calm down
When you say bad words, …so mind your words
When you think negative …so think positive
When think bad about others, . So never think bad about others
When you think evil, Satan is with you, So think good
When you think of hurting anybody
When your words become calamity
When you are disrespectful to your elders
When you think of destructing.

Remember but if you think only about doing good and acting good,Allah is with you  ,he will surely help you his hand ,but you have to choose which hand to hold
